What are Explorers?
Explorers are a program for children aged 14-18 years old that's part of The Scout Association. They meet in groups called Units to try new things, make friends, and develop skills for life
Who can join Explorers?
Anyone aged 14-18 is welcome to join Explorers, regardless of their gender, race, background, or physical ability
What do Explorers do?
  • Make friends: Explorers meet in groups to make new friends and work together
  • Try new things: Explorers participate in activities that help them discover their interests and develop new skills
  • Stand up for what they believe: Explorers learn to make a difference in their communities
  • Develop transferable skills: Explorers gain skills that can be used in other areas of their lives
  • What is the Explorers uniform?
  • Scouts wear a beige shirt with badges sewn on
  • They also wear a colored scarf or "necker" to represent their local group
  • Optional accessories include hats, hoodies, navy blue trousers, or shorts
